Daniel Zinobile

Mechanical Engineer Intern

Dan is a Mechanical Engineering Intern and current Graduate student with a strong background in medical device manufacturing. He received a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology and went on to work as a Process Engineer for Boston Scientific in Spencer, IN. 
 
During this time, he developed and improved manufacturing lines for products such as endoscopes, pelvic meshes, stone retrieval baskets, and more. He also was given a year-long assignment in El Coyol, Costa Rica duplicating a production line.
 
After working for 6 years, he developed an interest in robotics and automation and left Boston Scientific to pursue a M.Eng in Robotics at the University of Maryland.
 
He is also pursuing a Scientific Diver certification through UMD and has participated in an underwater study at the Neutral Buoyancy Research Facility on campus.

Outside of Work

In his spare time, Dan enjoys hiking, pickleball, and tinkering with robotics.
